1. Margaret McNamara Education Grants Program

The Margaret McNamara Education Grants Program is a scholarship program destined for women who wish to study at US or Canadian institutions. This is a very competitive scholarship for women from developing countries who are full-time students with significant financial needs.

Applicants must be women, 25 years old at least, and enrolled in a higher education institution in the US or Canada. An independent committee oversees the selection of the applicants. The decisions are given out by April each year. The amount of financial aid is determined by the needs of the student.

2. Orange Knowledge Program Scholarship in the Netherlands

The Orange Knowledge Program is funded by the Dutch Ministry of foreign affairs. Funding is available for a limited number of short courses that last between 2 weeks and 12 months as well as Masters programs that last 12 to 24 months.

This program offers fully funded scholarships. Students may apply through their institution of choice. The institution will send a link that the student may use to apply.

3. Swedish Institute Scholarship Program for Global Professionals (SISGP)

This program offers a fully funded scholarship for students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree in one of 13 Swedish universities. Applicants must apply for admission to a Master’s program prior to applying for the SISGP.

This scholarship provides coverage for tuition fees and living expenses for a duration of 2 years. Tuition fees are paid directly to the hosting institution and a monthly living stipend of 10 000SEK is given to the students. Also provided is health and accidental allowance.

4. University of Debrecen Scholarships for Nigerian Students

The University of Debrecen, the most prestigious in Hungary, offers a variety of scholarships for Nigerian students wishing to pursue their degrees in science, humanities, arts, education, or social sciences. The Grant covers 30-90% of the first-year tuition fees.

5. University of Pecs Scholarships for Nigerian Students

The University of Pecs is one of the most prestigious universities in Hungary. It offers scholarships for Nigerian students looking to pursue a degree in arts, engineering, natural sciences, medical and health sciences, humanities, social sciences, or business and economics.

The grant consists of 43 700 HUF for students undertaking a bachelor’s or a master’s and 140 000HUF for students undertaking a doctoral degree on a monthly basis. A monthly allowance of 40 000 HUF for accommodation is provided.
